God has been challenging me over the past few months to ‘live the adventure’. To take every moment in and to not just go thru the routines of life, but live every moment on purpose. I have been asking Him exactly what this looks like in our life at this point. We were invited to join the staff at Riverside 2 and 1/2 years ago. It has been such a growing experience and a major learning experience for our family. A month ago we were invited to visit The Oaks to see what God was doing in their church and if that might be a place God was leading us to. This past week we have accepted a position to be Pastors for the Gathering which is the young adult ministry at the Oaks. We are so excited, a little nervous, but confident this is the next step God has for us. We are going to miss being in Illinois. We have so many friends spread across the state in ministry that we have made the past 10 years.
I know for us this is living the adventure. This is following the voice of God into the unknown. We already have made so many friends in Texas because that is where I met Sara and attended Bible College. Please pray with our family as we walk thru these next few months of transition. We are stepping out to follow God’s voice. I know that these next days will be the best of our lives.

Aaron, I am so excited for you guys to come! It’s gonna be sweet. I don’t go to the gathering much but I know it is awesome. You guys are going to do awesome! Let us know when y’all are coming down (I am sure I’ll see it on Twitter) and we can all hang out for sure.
Wow! How exciting!!!! We will definitely miss you but totally support you living the adventure God has set out for you:)
Welcome to the team. We can’t wait for you to get here!
Following God is indeed an adventure. Living in the moment is a real challenge in the world we live in today. So many people are just going through the motions or waiting for the weekend – In turn missing out on what God has for them that moment.
Enjoy this next step of the journey
Wow, dude. That’s crazy.
It kinda stinks that you’re moving, since I just met you recently. But it’s really cool to see you guys following the Lord where He’s leading you.
Congratulations on the new position!
That’s awesome! I’m excited for you guys. The Gathering is a great ministry and The Oaks is a fantastic place for you to grow as pastors and as people. I can’t wait to see what the next few years of your journey look like.
Hey, I was driving to San Antonio yesterday after our vacation in Dallas and I didn’t even realize I drove past your new church. It looks awesome. God is using you so much. God bless!
