We have a group of A4 students that are at our church. This is a discipleship program that runs for 10 months. We have some great students this year in the program. I get the chance to teach them a few times. We have a few that are vegetarians and one that is planning to go totally vegan after the program. We made a challenge the other day that I would go vegan for one week and that some of the students would do without any form of caffeine for the week. That is right no coffee, soda, chocolate or any other form of caffeine for one entire week, [seven days]. So tomorrow I start my new eating habits. I think I should be able to make it. Let me tell you one thing I have learned so far it is so expensive to eat healthy. so i only have a few more hours to scarf down a steak or a burger. At least cows and chickens will be thankful for me this week.

getting cartoon intros for 80’s party at united. getting excited. here is a cartoon intro i was able to locate.
get stuff ready for our 80’s party at riverside: it should be fun. grabbing some items to give it an 80’s feel and thought he what about commercials and music from then. grabbed some music from itunes 80’s essential. then headed over to retrojunkies 80’s area to see what they had. this is by far one of the bests. saw this and thought why dont we have more commercials like this. remember the don’t do drugs. i miss these kinda commercials. they made me laugh. it made us feel like even while we are killing brains cells by the endless hours of movies and tv we are watching, we are at least learning something in the meantime.
One of the funniest shows on TV for its awkward moments, and hilarious characters. It has the most random songs at the most random times. It has been hilarious to see the different music that appears on the show. Here are some of the ones that I have collected from the show.

catching up on my friends blogs and I caught this one from evan courtney: give some free water. the list is long for charities that you can donate to. I followed suite with evan and gave to blood water mission. It is so easy to give away money that is not yours. if you want to join in click here
reading Jesus wants to Save Christians. I was so afraid that it was going to be an expanded version of the sermon series at Mars Hill earlier this year. It has been a great book so far. In chapter 5 Swollen Bellied Black Babies the book goes into some statistics about where we are at in the world today. As I am reading this and feeling shaken the list continues to go on from orphans, to water, to aids, to money we spend on random things. It is easy to read a list like this and be moved and then move on. but what if we are challenged to do more. I am fighting to find a way to start a revolution. To not just be comfortable with how we normally do things, but how do we find a way to change. But when you have lived one way for 30 years in one culture, and the church that has been used to doing things one way for hundreds of years it will take more then just statistics. It is a revolution we need. So God change us from the way we are used to doing things. God no matter how uncomfortable we get let this world look different because we are here. God bring a revolution and let it start with me.

great few days. these are some of the top youth guys in the state of illinois. i love chances where i get to hang with them. I always walk away challenged and energized to go and continue to win students for Jesus. thanks you guys for sharing your ministry experiences, and challenges.
